Skimikin Nursery Ltd is hiring 20 Forest Nursery Workers for full-time, seasonal employment.

Skimikin Nursery Ltd. is now accepting resumes in anticipation of Winter Lift.

Work is physically demanding and may include, but not be limited to:

• Grading and packaging of containerized forest seedlings
• Box making
• Block washing
• Lift Line loading and unloading
• Stock transport to and from greenhouses
• Greenhouse cleaning
• Loading or unloading of seedling cartons in cold storage

Applicants must be prepared to attend each scheduled day of work and must arrange their own transportation to and from work.

Successful applicants can expect approximately ten weeks of full time employment between October and December. Work is expected to begin the week of October 16, 2016.

Outstanding employees will have opportunities for continuing employment following the completion of Winter Lift.

Compensation

Wage: $12.50/hour plus a potential $0.50/hour completion bonus paid at the end of the work period provided the employee has fulfilled all articles of the employee contract (for a total of $13.00/hour).

Candidates with significant documented Forestry Seedling Nursery harvesting experience may be eligible for an hourly wage up to $15.00/hour.
