JOB DESCRIPTION:

In operation for over three decades, our client is an industry leading wholesale nursery of containerized perennials and related products. Located in the Fraser Valley of beautiful British Columbia, they are currently seeking and mature and innovative General Manager.

This organization has a number of highly specialized, highly experienced and highly successful division managers. We are currently looking for someone who is an effective, a high performance team builder with managerial courage, you know perennial plant production (or similar business), understand lean

manufacturing principles, have powerful analytical and proven problem solving skills, love strategic planning and excel in organizational alignment leadership, are calm, yet direct and are an agent for change. You know when to lead, delegate, change and support existing systems and are ready to make a difference.

QUALIFICATIONS:

This opportunity requires strong business acumen, ideally an MBA, but other credentials will be considered. You have experience in horticulture, or a related agricultural sector. Seasonal business management will be seen as a great asset. You will have proven success in the planning, organization and budget processes. You are also ready to develop our presence in Northwestern US market; while nurturing our continually growing presence in Western Canada.
