Huckleberry Landscape Design is hoping to add 2 Full-Time Permanent Experienced Horticulturalists to their team.

The work location is at 9756 Crown Cres., Surrey, BC V3V 6H9.

Our business is well known for our ability to create and maintain beautiful landscapes and gardens, perfectly suited to the West Coast.  To meet the increasingly varied demands of this rapidly expanding business, we are seeking a motivated, experienced individual with knowledge of a wide range of plants, including tropicals and exotics.

Job Description:
• Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease and apply various treatments such as pruning or repairing damaged areas.
• Assess the health of lawns and recommends fertilizers or pesticides as required.
• Prune annuals perennials, shrubs and trees according to the plant. 
• Plan and coordinate the growth and use of plants within the landscaped environment.
• Assess sites for the purpose of selection of plants in the design process.
• Plan and construct sites that include trees, shrubs, lawns, decorative plants and potential constructed elements such as retaining walls or walkways.
• Help customers make the best decisions based on their landscaping needs.
• Train and advise other staff members on appropriate care and maintenance techniques according to the plant.

Off-season duties may include:
• Winterizing beds and pruning. 
• Equipment maintenance.
• Planning of new landscaping jobs for the spring.
• Marketing.

Job Requirements / Qualifications:
• Completion of a related university or college program
• 2 – 4 years experience

Compensation

Salary: $20 - $22/hr.
