Job Description:

The Intermediate / Senior landscape architecture position will involve work across numerous planning and design projects, with an emphasis on spatial concepts, design visualization, planning studies, construction documentation and administration. Applicants must have a recognized bachelors or masters degree in landscape architecture with a minimum of five years of professional experience after graduating.

A high level of competence with design production software is expected, including Civil 3D/AutoCAD, SketchUp, and graphic programs such as Adobe Creative Cloud. Applicants must be able to effectively express their ideas with drawings as well as in writing. They must have proven ability with 3D design development and preparation of construction drawings, details, and specifications. An aptitude for technology and strong communication skills would be a potent asset for candidates applying to this position.

Applicants must demonstrate the ability to be proactive and self-motivated as part of a multi-disciplinary creative. They must have proven experience with project management and/or coordination on jobs that involve client meetings, group presentations, and the resolution of typical issues/challenges that involve high quality design products. Most importantly, you must have a passion for your profession, love of learning and design, dedication to excellence, a sense of humour and the ability to take deadlines in stride.  Candidates should have or be eligible for CSLA component full membership (ie. APALA, OALA).
