Our client is global leader and manufacturer of commercial outdoor equipment fitness and playground equipment. They are seeking to hire a Landscape Architect & Designer to work within the Austin manufacturing facility.

The Landscape Designer will by a key player in the development of outdoor fitness and play solutions. This key role is well embedded in the architectural and landscape community with extensive experience with project specification and design work.  Must have strong understanding of regulatory laws and guidelines as ADA, ASTM and CPSC.

The Architectural & Design Specification (Landscape Architect by trade) will have the responsibility to form relationships and partnerships within the architectural and design community to create a pull-through demand to increase the use of my client’s outdoor products. Collaboration with Industrial Designers, Mechanical and Civil Engineers, and other supporting staff is a must. The role will require Travel 10% domestically and internationally as well as attending annual trade shows (ASLA).

Responsibilities:

·         Manage design, specifications & layout of custom projects

·         Coordinate projects & conduct design meetings ensuring clients’ needs/desires are met

·         Create AutoCAD drawings of potential custom projects

·         Resolve any issues w/ product installations and/or the site location

·         Maintain product safety standards & compliance

·         Develop site plan layouts for standard & custom equipment/products

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture
• CPSI certification preferred
• Min. 3+ years of experience in Landscape Design
• Strong experience in AutoCAD, graphic design, traditional media, and presentation skills.
• Part of the interview process will be submitting an online portfolio showing past work
• Knowledge of ADA / ASTM / CPSC
• 3D experience a plus (such as 3DS Max, SketchUp, Maya, etc.)
• Multi-tasking Skills
• Excellent writing and communication skills

Compensation

Offering:

- Base Salary $70,000 - $80,000 (based on experience)
