ROLE

We seek to fill a third position in the Landscape team working directly with MJMA’s Director of Landscape Architecture OALA CSLA. The role is to be a collaborative position focused on the technical execution and management of projects in order to successfully meet design intent and project goals, goals that often include accelerated schedules. The role will involve full service work, from SD to CA, but primarily within DD to CA, and will require collaboration with the director, partners, and project teams on all office projects. The role will focus on managing and providing leadership of projects through contract documentation, approvals with authorities, and contract execution. Many of these projects are an integration of full building and park design, and are often situated within large or challenging recreational, academic, and urban settings. Projects customarily incorporate building design with passive park spaces, active sport field design, larger green space developments, and urban or campus context developments. All projects have the goal to create holistic, powerful, and highly memorable public realm spaces that are designed with natural processes to evolve and get better over time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be graduates of a recognized professional Landscape Architecture program and possess strong design and technical abilities. Professional accreditation is an asset. Demonstration of strong technical and detailing ability, deep experience in approvals processes, and an ability to communicate and work closely within multiple project teams are all critical. Individuals must be highly proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, graphic/presentation software, as well as project management software.  Candidates must be committed to and adept at ‘modern design and detailing’, as alignment of design sensibilities is critical.
