B. Thayer Associates seeks a talented Landscape Designer with 1 - 4 years experience to join our growing Landscape Architecture studios in Woodbury, Long Island and Long Island City, Queens, New York.
The successful candidates shall be highly motivated, outgoing, and resourceful team players. In addition, qualified candidates shall possess the following:
▪ Field experience and horticultural/arboriculture knowledge
▪ Wetland/environmental permitting background or training
▪ Demonstrated problem solving ability
▪ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
▪ Understanding of design development and construction document preparation
▪ Digital visualization skills and good freehand graphics
▪ GIS experience a plus
The individuals must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and excellent organizational skills. Strong ability in AutoCAD, Microstation, SketchUp, Adobe CS, and MS Office is required. Knowledge of Rhino, Revit and Deltek a plus.
