Sidhu & Sons Nursery Ltd. has earned a reputation as a trusted and innovative Canadian nursery wholesaler and propagator, producing over 600 acres of high quality broadleaf evergreens, conifers, deciduous shrubs, trees and perennials, including blueberry plants for fruit production. From start to finish, all plants are grown on site at Sidhu & Sons’ state -of-the-art tissue culture lab and propagation house. We now are looking for five nursery supervisors to join our busy operation.

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Education: Completion of High School

Experience: 1-2 years of work experience in related fields.

Main Duties:
• Supervise nursery workers and provide workers with assistance in performing duties as necessary to meet deadlines
• Prepare work schedules and assign duties to workers supervised
• Prepare reports to management
• Plan and provide training and orientation to new workers
• Maintain inventory of supplies and materials
• Establish and enforce operating procedures and work standards that will ensure adequate performance and personnel safety.
• Recommend changes in working conditions or equipment use to increase crew efficiency.
• Inspect completed work to ensure conformance to specifications, standards, and contract requirements.

Compensation

Wage: $19.50 per hour (40 hours per week)
