We are hiring a horticultural greenhouse sales professional to join a market leader in providing the best and most service-oriented wholesale distribution of annuals, perennials and related products in North America.  Building on the success we have already had in this geography, we are expanding the Texas territory with a sales person that lives and works directly in the Dallas or Fort Worth, Texas.  This Territory Sales Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Sales.

The primary role of this sales position is to represent the highest quality plant material solutions ranging from tissue culture, seeds and un-rooted cuttings to finished annuals, and perennials to the commercial greenhouse industry, competently and professionally, in this very important sales territory.  The Territory Sales Manager will be expected to develop our existing accounts in the territory, as well as to grow sales opportunities in new accounts through an accomplished consultative sales approach.

The candidate must be able to:

  • Develop trusted relationships with the Texas Greenhouse and Grower sector at head grower and or ownership level
  • Apply a consultative sales approach with current and potential customers 
  • Communicate effective business plans and cost rationalizations that exhibit the benefits of our vast selection of plant varieties.
  • Work in collaboration with customer service and executive management
  • Day to day travel in meeting in person with customers

SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of horticultural greenhouse grower market and the business challenges of this market REQUIRED
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of plant varieties 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite products including power point and excel
  • Consultative selling skills

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Horticulture related degree a plus, but we will be looking at experience and track record first.

5+ years of successful sales track record selling high level products to the horticulture market, preferably in the Texas.
